Mark 1

⁴ John came. He lived out in the wild. He told people to turn away from their sins and be baptized. Then God would forgive them.

¹⁴ After the king threw John in jail, Jesus went into Galilee. He told everyone the Good News about God.

¹⁶ Jesus walked along the Sea of Galilee. He saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing nets into the water. They were fishermen.

¹⁹ Jesus walked a little farther. He saw James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They sat in their boat fixing their nets.

²¹ They all went to the town of Capernaum. On the Sabbath, Jesus walked into the place where people met to worship. He started teaching.
