Luke 4

⁵ The devil swept him up high. In one quick flash, he showed Jesus every kingdom in the whole world.

¹⁴ Jesus walked back to Galilee. The power of the Spirit burned inside him like a fire! Word about him raced from town to town.

¹⁶ Jesus went to Nazareth, the town where he grew up as a boy. On the Sabbath day, he did what he always did. He walked into the meeting place and stood to read.

²⁰ Jesus rolled the scroll back up. He handed it to the helper. He sat down. Every single pair of eyes in that room locked on him.

²² Everyone nodded and smiled. They loved the beautiful words flowing out of his mouth. But then whispers started. "Wait. Is this not just Joseph's son?"
