Exodus 3

¹ Moses led his father-in-law's sheep far into the empty land. Jethro was a priest in Midian. Moses came to God's mountain. They call it Horeb.

⁷ Yahweh said, "I have watched my people hurt in Egypt! I heard every cry! I know their pain!"

¹¹ Moses said, "Who am I? How can I stand before Pharaoh? How can I bring Israel out?"

¹⁶ "Go. Bring the leaders of Israel together. Tell them Yahweh came to me. The God of your fathers. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He said, I came to you! I saw what Egypt is doing to you!"
