Exodus 14

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses.

⁵ Someone ran to tell the king of Egypt that the people had run away. Pharaoh and his men changed their minds in a heartbeat! "What have we done?" they yelled. "We let Israel go! Now who will do our work?"

¹⁰ Pharaoh came close. The people of Israel looked up. Dust rose in the distance. The army rushed at them. Fear grabbed their hearts. They screamed to Yahweh!

¹⁵ Then Yahweh said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to start moving!"

¹⁹ The angel of God moved. He had been walking at the front of Israel's camp. Now he went to the back. The tall cloud moved too. It went from the front to the back.
