⁵ David said to King Achish, "If you are happy with me, give me a small town in the land. Why should I live in the big city with you?"

⁸ David and his men went out to hit the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites. These people had lived in that land for a very long time. Their land ran from the road to Shur all the way to Egypt.
