⁵ That night David moved close to Saul's camp. He saw where Saul lay sleeping. Abner son of Ner, the army boss, slept near him. Saul lay in the middle. His men slept all around him in a ring.

¹³ David went to the other side. He went up a hill far away. A big valley lay between him and the camp.
