1 Samuel 28

⁴ The Philistines brought all their men together. They put their camp at Shunem. Saul pulled all his men together too. They put their camp at Gilboa.

⁷ At last Saul told his helpers, "Find me a woman who can talk to the dead. I will go ask her what to do." They said, "There is a woman like that at Endor."

¹¹ The woman asked, "Who should I bring up?" Saul said, "Bring up Samuel."

²⁰ Saul fell flat on the ground! Samuel's words hit him like a fist! Fear filled him up. He had no power left. He had not eaten all day or all night.

²⁵ She put the food in front of Saul and his helpers. They ate. Then they got up and left that very night.
