Revelation 4

¹ After this I looked up. A door hung open in heaven! The first voice I heard sounded like a trumpet blast. It said, "Come up here! I will show you what has to happen next."

² Right then the Spirit grabbed me! A throne sat in heaven. Someone was sitting on it!

⁴ Around that throne sat twenty-four more thrones. On them sat twenty-four elders dressed in white. Gold crowns sat on their heads.

⁶ In front of the throne spread something like a sea, smooth as glass, clear as water. In the center and all around the throne stood four living beings. Eyes covered them in front and in back.

⁸ Each of the four living beings had six wings. Eyes covered them all over, even through the wings. Day and night they never stop. "Holy, holy, holy! Lord God, the One who holds all power! The One who was, who is, and who is coming!"
