Mark 13

¹ Jesus walked out of the temple. One of his disciples stared up at the massive walls. "Teacher! Look at these stones! Look at these buildings!"

⁸ "Nation will attack nation. Kingdom will smash into kingdom. Earthquakes will crack the ground open. People will starve. Suffering everywhere. But that's just the beginning, like the first pains when a baby starts to come."

⁹ "Be ready. They will grab you and drag you in front of judges. They will beat you in the synagogues. You will stand before governors and kings because of me. Your life will be your witness."

¹⁰ "But first, the good news has to reach every nation."

¹⁴ "Daniel the prophet spoke about a horrible, disgusting thing that destroys everything. When you see it standing where it has no right to be, run! If you're in Judea, get to the hills fast! Whoever reads this, understand what I'm saying."
