Luke 21

¹ Jesus looked up. He watched rich people drop their money into the temple box.

⁵ People stood staring at the temple. They pointed at the bright white stones. They whispered about the beautiful gifts hanging on the walls. Jesus saw them.

¹⁰ Then he told them more. "Nation will attack nation. Kingdom will smash into kingdom."

¹² "But all of that comes later. First, they come for you. They will grab you and drag you away. They will haul you into their meeting places and lock you up. They will shove you in front of kings and governors. Why? Because you belong to me."

²⁵ "Signs will explode in the sun, the moon, and the stars. On earth, nations will panic. The ocean will roar and crash. People will not know what to do."
