John 6

²² The next day, the crowd on the other side noticed something strange. Only one boat had been there the night before. Jesus had not gotten into it with his disciples. The disciples had left without him.

²⁶ Jesus answered, "You want the truth? You are not looking for me because you understood the signs. You are looking for me because you ate bread until your bellies were full!"

²⁸ They asked, "What kind of work does God want from us?"

⁵³ Jesus said, "You want the truth? You must eat the body of the Son of Man and drink his blood. If you do not, you have no life in you."

⁶⁷ Jesus turned to look at the twelve disciples. His voice was quiet. Heavy. "Are you going to leave too?"
