1 Samuel 3

¹ Young Samuel kept working for Yahweh. Eli watched over him. In those days, Yahweh did not speak much to his people. Dreams and visions were rare.

¹⁰ Yahweh came close and stood right beside him! He called just like before: "Samuel! Samuel!" Samuel said, "Speak. I am listening."

¹¹ Yahweh said to Samuel: "I am about to do something in Israel so huge that everyone who hears will feel their ears ring!"

¹⁹ Samuel grew up. Yahweh stayed with him. Every word Samuel spoke came true. Not one word hit the ground.
