1 Samuel 14
1 One day Jonathan spoke to the young man who carried his weapons. "Come with me. Let us cross over to the Philistine camp on the other side." But he did not tell his father.
24 But the men of Israel were worn out. Saul had made them swear a promise. He said, "Anyone who eats before evening, before I get back at my enemies, will be under a curse!" So no one ate anything.
25 The whole army went into the woods. Honey was on the ground everywhere!
36 Saul said, "Let us go down after the Philistines by night! We will take everything from them until morning light! We will not leave one of them alive!" The men said, "Do whatever seems good to you." But the priest said, "Let us ask God here first."
