1 Kings 18

¹ Many days crawled by. Three years passed. Then Yahweh spoke to Elijah. "Go show yourself to Ahab. I'm going to send rain on the earth."

¹⁷ Ahab saw him coming. "Is that you? The man who is destroying Israel?"

³⁰ Elijah called out to everyone. "Come here! Come close to me." The crowd moved in. Elijah started fixing the altar of Yahweh that had been broken apart.

⁴⁰ "Grab every single prophet of Baal!" Elijah shouted. "Do not let one get away!" The crowd grabbed them. Elijah dragged them down to the Kishon Valley. He killed them all right there.

⁴¹ Elijah turned to Ahab. "Go back up now. Eat and drink. I can hear the sound of heavy rain coming."
