Laban ran out to meet Jacob. He threw both arms around him and held him tight. He kissed him. He led Jacob back to his camp, and Jacob told him everything. How he left home. How he walked alone. How he found Rachel at the well. Laban's face broke into a wide smile. "You are my own flesh and blood...
After some time, Laban asked Jacob what he wanted for his work. Jacob already knew. He had fallen in love with Rachel. His answer came fast: "I will work for you seven years if you let me marry Rachel." Laban nodded. The deal was set.
Seven years. Jacob watched sheep in the burning sun. He kept them safe through cold, dark nights. But those years passed like days because of how much he loved Rachel. When the last day came, Jacob walked up to Laban. "The time is done. Give me my wife."
