Philippians
Paul wrote a letter to the believers in the city of Philippi. His heart was full of thanks for them! They had helped him share the good news from the very first day. He prayed that their love would grow bigger and bigger. And he was sure of one thing: God would finish what he started in them!
Chains on his wrists. Walls around him. But the good news kept moving! The guards learned why Paul sat in prison. Other believers watched his courage and something changed inside them. They stopped being afraid. They opened their mouths and talked about Jesus! Some did it from real love. Some did...
Paul wanted to bring honor to Christ, alive or dead. Dying meant running straight into the arms of Christ. That sounded good! But living meant more good work to do. So he chose to stay. He wanted to help them grow strong in faith and fill up with joy until it ran over the edges.
