Revelation 17

¹ One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came to me. He said, "Come here. I will show you what happens to the great prostitute who sits on many waters."

³ The angel carried me away in the Spirit to wild lands. There I saw a woman sitting on a bright red beast. The beast was covered with names that mocked God. It had seven heads and ten horns.

⁵ A name was carved into her forehead, a secret title: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER WHO BIRTHED EVERY PROSTITUTE AND EVERY FILTHY THING ON EARTH.

⁷ The angel turned to me. "Why are you shaking? I will tell you the secret. The woman. The beast carrying her. The one with seven heads and ten horns."

⁹ You need a wise mind for this. The seven heads are seven hills. The woman sits on top of them.
