Numbers 22
1 Israel kept moving. They dropped their tents on Moab's flat plains, just across the Jordan River from Jericho.
4 Moab's leaders told Midian's leaders, "This crowd will strip the land clean! They will eat everything, like a cow chewing through a field." Balak son of Zippor was Moab's king.
15 Balak did not give up. He sent even more men this time. Men with more power, more honor.
22 But God burned with anger because Balaam went. Yahweh's angel stepped into the road, standing like an enemy with his sword ready to block the way. Balaam rode his donkey. Two helpers walked beside him.
28 Then Yahweh opened the donkey's mouth. She spoke: "What did I do wrong? Why did you hit me three times?"
