Matthew 4

¹ The Spirit grabbed Jesus and shoved him into the empty desert. The devil was waiting there to trap him.

³ The devil slid in close. "If you are God's Son, tell these rocks to become bread."

⁵ The devil took him to the holy city. He put Jesus on the highest point of the temple.

⁸ The devil took him one more time. This time to a mountain so tall Jesus could see every kingdom on earth shining in all their glory.

¹¹ The devil ran. Angels came and cared for Jesus.
