Matthew 16

¹ Pharisees and Sadducees showed up. They wanted to trap him. "Show us a sign from heaven!" they said. "Prove you are from God!"

¹³ Jesus took his followers to the area near Caesarea Philippi. He asked them, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

¹⁷ Jesus smiled big. "Simon, son of Jonah, God has blessed you! No human told you this. My Father in heaven showed it to you."
