Mark 15
1 Morning came. The chief priests called a meeting. Elders. Scribes. The whole council. They tied up Jesus. They led him out. They handed him over to Pilate.
6 Every year at the Passover feast, Pilate let one prisoner go free. The crowd could choose.
15 Pilate wanted the crowd happy. So he let Barabbas walk free. He ordered his soldiers to whip Jesus. Then he handed him over to be nailed to a cross.
16 The soldiers dragged Jesus inside the courtyard of the palace. They called the whole Roman unit together.
20 When they finished, they ripped off the purple robe. They put his own clothes back on. Then they led him out to kill him.
