Luke 24

1 Very early Sunday morning the women came back to the tomb. The sky was just turning gray with first light. They brought the spices they made.

4 They stood there shaking. They did not know what to think. Right then two men appeared next to them! Their clothes blazed bright like lightning!

13 That same day two of Jesus' followers walked to a village called Emmaus. About seven miles from Jerusalem.

18 One of them was named Cleopas. He spoke back. "Are you the only person in Jerusalem who has not heard what happened these past few days?"

25 Jesus said to them. "You do not think straight! Your hearts are so slow to trust what the prophets said.
