Luke 19

A man named Zacchaeus lived there. He ran the tax office for the whole area. Money poured into his house.

Jesus got to that spot and looked up. "Zacchaeus! Get down now! I need to stay at your house today."

The crowd started to grumble. "He went to eat with a sinner," they said.

Zacchaeus stood up tall and spoke to Jesus. "Lord, I will give half of everything I own to poor people. If I stole from anyone, I will pay them back four times."

Jesus said, "Today, God's rescue came to this house! This man is a true son of Abraham."
