Luke 11

5 Jesus told them a story. "You run to your friend's house. The middle of the night. You pound on the door and yell, 'Friend! I need three loaves of bread right now!'"

9 "So I am telling you this. Ask! Keep asking! You will get it. Hunt! Keep hunting! You will find it. Pound on the door! Keep pounding! It will swing wide open for you."

37 A Pharisee asked Jesus to eat at his house while he spoke. Jesus walked in and sat down.

42 "How terrible for you, Pharisees! You count out one tenth of every tiny herb in your garden. Mint. Rue. Every little plant. But you walk right past what matters! Being fair! Loving God! You should do both! Not just one!"

46 Jesus said, "How terrible for you law teachers! You load heavy packs on people's backs. Packs so heavy they can barely stand! But you? You will not lift one finger to help them carry it!"
