Sent Out and Stories Told

Seventy followers stood before Jesus. He looked at each pair of eyes and sent them out two by two, ahead of Him, into every town He planned to visit. "The fields are ripe," He told them. "So many people are ready. But the workers are few. Pray. Ask God to send more."

Jesus gave them their orders before the road. "When you walk into a house, speak peace over it. If they welcome you, stay. Eat what they set in front of you. Do not wander from house to house." Simple words. A clear path. They listened, nodded, and turned toward the dusty roads ahead.

The seventy fanned out across the land. They pressed their hands on the sick, and bodies grew strong again. They stood in town squares and called out, "God's kingdom has come near you!" Doors flew open. People ran from their homes. Arms reached out. The help they had waited for was finally here.
