John 18

⁴ Jesus knew what was coming. Every bit of it. He walked right up to them and asked, "Who do you want?"

¹⁰ Right then Simon Peter grabbed a sword and swung hard! He hit the high priest's servant and cut his right ear clean off. The servant's name was Malchus.

¹² The soldiers grabbed Jesus. Their leader and the Jewish guards grabbed him too. They tied him up tight.

¹⁷ The young woman stared hard at Peter. "You are one of his friends too, right?" Peter shook his head fast. "No. I am not."

¹⁹ The high priest started asking Jesus about his friends. He asked what Jesus taught them.
