Genesis 39
1 Joseph was down in Egypt now. Potiphar bought him from the traders. Potiphar was an officer of Pharaoh. Captain of the guards.
2 Yahweh stayed with Joseph. Everything he touched went well. He lived in his master's house.
4 Joseph pleased Potiphar. He served him well. Soon Potiphar put Joseph in charge of everything. His house. His fields. All of it.
7 Potiphar's wife watched him. Day after day. She wanted him in her bed. "Sleep with me," she said.
11 One day Joseph walked into the house to do his work. Not one other man was there.
