Genesis 31

¹ Then Jacob heard Laban's sons talking behind his back. "Jacob stole everything from our dad. All his riches came from what our dad owned."

³ Then Yahweh spoke to Jacob. "Go back home. Go back to the dirt where your fathers walked. Go to your own people. I will walk with you."

⁴ Jacob sent word to Rachel and Leah. He told them to come out to the field where his animals ate grass.

⁵ "I see your dad's face. Something changed. He turned on me. But the God of my father stayed true."

¹⁹ Laban was away cutting wool from his sheep. While he was gone, Rachel snuck into his tent. She grabbed his little gods and hid them.
