Exodus 5

¹ Moses and Aaron walked right up to Pharaoh. They said, "Yahweh, the God of Israel, says this. Let my people go! They must hold a big meal for me in the empty land!"

⁶ Right then, Pharaoh called his slave bosses and work leaders.

¹⁵ The Israelite work leaders ran to Pharaoh. They cried, "Why do you treat us like this?"

²² Moses ran back to Yahweh. He poured out his heart. "Lord, why did you let your people get hurt like this? Why did you send me?"
