1 Corinthians 4

¹ Here is how people should see us. We are servants of Christ. God trusted us to guard his secret truths.

⁶ Brothers and sisters, I used myself and Apollos as examples for your good. Learn from us. Do not go past what the words of God say. Then no one will puff themselves up and pick a side against someone else.

⁸ You already act like you have everything you need! You already act rich! You already act like kings without us around! I wish you really were ruling as kings! Then we could rule right there with you!

¹⁴ I am not writing this to make you feel bad. I write to warn you like a father who loves his own children.

¹⁸ Some of you puffed yourselves up. You act like I am never coming back.
