1 Corinthians 1

¹ This letter comes from Paul. God picked me to be an apostle of Jesus Christ. Sosthenes our brother writes with me.

¹⁰ Brothers and sisters, I am begging you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Stop fighting! Work together! Get your minds on the same path and your hearts beating the same way.

¹⁸ The message about the cross sounds crazy to people walking toward their own death. But to us who are being saved? It is the power of God!

²⁶ Brothers and sisters, think back to when God called you. Not many of you were smart by the world's rules. Not many of you had power. Not many of you came from big important families.
