The Seven Trumpets

The first angel lifts his horn and blows. Hail and fire crash down, mixed with blood. One third of the earth catches fire. One third of the trees burn to ash. Every blade of green grass turns black.

The second angel blows. Something like a huge mountain on fire crashes into the sea. One third of the water turns red as blood. One third of the sea animals die and float to the top. One third of the ships break apart and sink.

The third angel blows. A great star falls from the sky, burning bright like a torch. It lands on the rivers and springs. The star is called Wormwood. It means bitter. The water turns bad like poison. Many people drink it and die.
