Solomon's Glory

David grows old. His body is weak but his mind is sharp. He gathers all the leaders of Israel. Yahweh chose Solomon to build a Temple! My hands have too much blood from too many wars. But I have saved up everything Solomon will need. Gold. Silver. Cedar wood. The plans are ready!

Solomon is young and the work ahead is huge. David wants to help him get ready. He stores piles of gold and silver for the Temple. He sets aside bronze and iron and tall cedar logs. He calls the leaders together. Help my son! Stand with him! Give what you can!

David puts the Levites in charge of music for worship. Some play lyres. Some play harps. Some crash the cymbals loud! Asaph leads them all. They take turns so the music never stops. Every single day, songs rise into the air near the tent where the Ark of the Covenant rests.
