The Beginning
Nothing. No light. No ground. No sky. Just deep, black with no end. Then God opened his mouth. "Let there be light!" Light burst out of nowhere and filled everything! God pulled the light apart from the dark. He called the light Day and the dark Night. The very first day.
God spoke again over the water. Right then, the waters ripped apart! Some stayed below. Some rose up high. Between them, God opened up a great wide space. He looked at the air and the blue above and called it Sky. The second day was done.
Long before any person took a breath, God already had a family. His sons filled heaven. They watched him shape something new, something none of them had ever seen. God stretched out the earth with his own hands and set the stones in place. His sons could not hold it in. They shouted! They sang! Joy...
