Journey Start

One road between Samaria and Galilee. Ten men stand far off at the edge of the road. Sores cover their arms, their faces, their hands. Nobody go come near dem. Dem raise their voice together. "Jesus! Oga! Get pity for us!" Jesus call back across the space. "Go show una self to the priests."

Di ten men turn come start to walk to the priests. One step. Then another one. Then one of dem look down his hands. Di sores dey clear. He touch his face. Smooth skin. All of dem feel am at once, that feeling of something new. Clean. Whole. Every one of dem, well as dem dey walk.

One man stop. He turn around come run back, dust dey fly for his back. One Samaritan. He fall for Jesus leg, press his face to the ground, dey praise God with everything wey he get. Jesus look around the empty road. "Where the other nine dey? Na only this man come back to say thank you?" He bend...
