Romans 11

¹ So I ask. Did God throw away His people? Never! I myself come from Israel. Abraham's family. The tribe of Benjamin.

⁷ So what happened? Israel chased hard after getting counted in. They did not catch it. The ones God picked did catch it. The rest became hard.

¹¹ So I ask, did they trip just to fall forever? Never! When they fell, rescue came to the other nations. That made Israel burn with jealousy.

¹⁶ If the first piece of bread you offer is set apart, the whole loaf is set apart. If the root is set apart, the branches are too.

²⁵ Brothers and sisters, I want you to know this mystery. Do not think you know it all! Part of Israel has hard hearts, but only until the full number from the other nations comes in.
