Numbers 25

¹ Israel camped at Shittim. The men began sleeping with Moabite women.

⁴ Yahweh spoke to Moses. His voice was hard. "Grab all the leaders. Kill them in the open, in daylight, in front of me. Then my burning rage will turn away from Israel."

⁵ Moses turned to the judges. "Each of you must kill every man under you who joined Baal of Peor."

⁶ Right then, while all Israel cried at the door of the Tent of Meeting, an Israelite man walked right past everyone. He brought a Midianite woman to his family. Right in front of Moses. Right in front of the whole crowd.
