Hebrews 8

¹ Here is the main thing we are saying. We have this kind of high priest! He sat down next to the King of heaven on his throne.

⁶ But Jesus got a much better job! He stands in the middle of a better promise between God and people. This new promise rests on better promises!

⁸ But God saw the people were broken. He said, "Days are coming when I will make a new promise with Israel and Judah."

¹³ When God says "new," he makes the first promise old. And what is old and worn out will be gone soon.
