Hebrews 7
1 Melchizedek was king of Salem. He was priest of God Most High. Abraham came back from winning the war against the kings. Melchizedek met him there. He blessed him.
11 Think about it. If the Levi priests could make people truly whole, why would we need a different kind of priest? The law came through them. But a new priest had to come. Like Melchizedek, not like Aaron.
20 And God made a promise about him under an oath.
26 This is the high priest we needed! Set apart. Clean. Pure. Not mixed in with sinners. Higher than the sky!
