Genesis 33
Jacob looked up. Esau was walking toward him. Four hundred men walked behind him! Jacob put the children with Leah, Rachel, and the two servant girls.
Jacob walked out in front. He walked toward his brother. Seven times he dropped to the dirt and put his face down before he got to Esau.
Esau ran! He threw his arms around Jacob and hugged him tight. He kissed his neck over and over. They both cried.
Jacob went to Succoth. He built a house and put up little shelters for his animals. That is why the place is called Succoth. It means little shelters.
At last Jacob came to the city of Shechem in Canaan. He had come all the way from Paddan Aram. He set up his tent outside the city.
