Genesis 26
No food grew. The land dried up. Hunger came. This was not the same famine from Abraham's time. A new one. Isaac went to Gerar. To King Abimelech of the Philistines.
"Live here now. I will be close. I will pour blessing on you like rain. I will give all this land to you. To your children. I will keep the promise I made to Abraham. Your father."
So Isaac stayed in Gerar.
Isaac stayed there a long, long time. One day King Abimelech looked out his window. He saw Isaac with Rebekah. Close. Too close. Isaac kissed her! The king's mouth dropped open. Wife! Not sister!
Isaac planted seeds. That year his crops exploded! They grew and grew and grew! He got back one hundred times what he planted! Yahweh poured blessing on him like a flood.
