Genesis 25

⁷ Abraham walked this earth for one hundred and seventy-five years.

²¹ Rebekah could not have a baby. Isaac prayed hard to Yahweh for her. He begged. Yahweh heard. Rebekah got pregnant.

²² The babies kicked inside her. They pushed. They fought. She cried out in pain. "If this is how it will be, why even live?" She went straight to Yahweh to ask.

²⁷ The boys grew up. Totally different. Esau became a hunter. Fast. Strong. He loved the open wild. Jacob stayed quiet. He liked to be near the tents. Near home.

²⁹ One day Jacob stood by a pot. He stirred the stew. Hot and thick. Esau came back from the fields. His legs could barely hold him. He was starving.
