Deuteronomy 34

¹ Moses left the flat plains of Moab. He climbed Mount Nebo all the way to the top of Pisgah. He stood facing Jericho. Right then, Yahweh opened his eyes wide! He showed Moses the whole land stretched out below! He saw it all! From Gilead far up north, all the way to Dan!

⁵ Moses died right there in the land of Moab. He had served Yahweh every day of his life. It happened exactly like Yahweh said it would.

⁷ Moses lived one hundred and twenty years. When he died, his eyes still saw sharp and clear. His body was still strong.

⁹ Joshua son of Nun was full of wisdom. Moses had put his hands on him. The people of Israel followed Joshua. They did exactly what Yahweh told Moses to tell them.
