Deuteronomy 31

⁷ Moses called Joshua to stand in front of all Israel. He said to him, "Be strong! Be brave! You will lead these people into the land Yahweh swore to give their fathers. You will help them take it as their own."

⁹ Moses wrote this law down. He gave it to the priests from the tribe of Levi, the ones who carried the ark of Yahweh's covenant. He gave it to all the old leaders of Israel too.

³⁰ Moses spoke every word of this song to all Israel. From the first word to the last.
