Daniel 3

¹ King Nebuchadnezzar made a huge gold statue. It stood ninety feet tall! Nine feet wide! He set it up on the flat land of Dura in Babylon.

⁷ So when the music played, all the peoples heard the horns and flutes and harps. All people from every nation and tongue fell to the ground. They bowed before the gold statue the king had set up.

⁸ Right then, some men from Babylon pushed to the front. They wanted to stir up trouble for the Jews.

¹⁹ Nebuchadnezzar went wild! His face twisted with hate. He screamed at his men, "Heat the fire pit seven times hotter than before!"

²² The king had pushed his men to hurry. The fire was so hot that flames shot out! They killed the men who threw them in!
