Daniel 2

¹ In the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's rule, scary dreams came to the king! His mind raced with fear. Sleep ran away from him.

⁴ The wise men spoke back. "O king, may you live forever! Tell us your dream, and we will show you what it means."

¹⁷ Then Daniel rushed home! He told his three friends, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, what was happening.

²⁴ Then Daniel went straight to Arioch, the man the king had sent to kill the wise men! Daniel said, "Don't kill them! Take me to the king right now! I will tell him what his dream means!"

³⁶ "That was your dream! Now I will tell you what it means."
