¹ David asked, "Is anyone from Saul's family still alive? I want to be kind to them for Jonathan's sake!"

⁹ The king called for Ziba, Saul's servant. He said, "Everything that belonged to Saul and his whole family, I am giving to your master's grandson!"

¹¹ Ziba said to the king, "I will do everything my lord the king says." So Mephibosheth ate at David's table just like one of the king's own sons!
