¹ Some time went by. David prayed to Yahweh. He asked, "Should I go back to one of the towns in Judah?" Yahweh said, "Yes, go." David asked, "Which town?" Yahweh said, "Hebron."

⁸ Abner son of Ner ran Saul's army. He grabbed Ishbosheth, one of Saul's sons, and dragged him to Mahanaim.
