2 Samuel 15

¹ After this, Absalom got a chariot, horses, and fifty men to run in front of him wherever he went.

⁷ After forty years passed, Absalom said to the king, "Please let me go to Hebron. I made a promise to Yahweh. I need to keep it."

¹³ A man ran to David, breathing hard. "The hearts of Israel have turned to Absalom!"

²⁴ Zadok came too. The Levites came with him. They carried the ark of God's covenant. They set the ark down. Abiathar waited there until all the people left the city.
