1 John 5

¹ Everyone who trusts that Jesus is God's promised King was born from God. And everyone who loves the Father loves the children who came from him.

⁶ This is the One who came by water and blood. Jesus Christ. Not just water. Water and blood. And the Spirit keeps saying this is true because the Spirit is the truth.

¹³ I wrote this to you who trust in the name of the Son of God. Why? So you know for sure you have life forever. So you keep trusting in his name.

¹⁸ We know anyone born from God does not keep living in sin. The One born from God keeps them safe. The evil one cannot grab them.
